In addition to offering English language courses, the Faculty of IT at UCP has launched a Centre for English Language to improve the vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, comprehension and expression of students. The centre aims to provide educational technologies that would enable students to continue their education even when they are not in the classroom. Students would be able to use these learning applications whenever they have free time. The centre would also conduct surveys to identify bottlenecks currently faced by students and revise English language courses to address them.

In collaboration with the Centre for Educational Technologies, the Centre for English Language will customizes learning applications to meet the exact needs of students. Since students are often unable to speak in the classroom due to lack of confidence or insufficient time, the centre aims to use educational technologies to facilitate the interaction between students and teachers.
